higher levels, increase their profitability, and are more successful short-term and long-term — then the impact to local communities, the state-level, and nationally could be huge. The success of our nation depends on the health and vitality of small businesses.
Since Core Impact’s mission is to transform businesses, leaders and communities – it became clear that we needed to have a deliberate and intense focus on the small business market, because we could no longer ignore the need to help transform small businesses. So, we formed Core Impact Consulting to expand our services to include small businesses.
We have embarked on this small business strategy while still being very mindful of the above 3 issues that discouraged us from working with small businesses in the past:
1. Small businesses resist change, refuse to step back and work on the business, and tend to get very tunnel vision as to how to operate their business
2. Small businesses tend to do it all themselves, without outside counsel, advice or targeted and specialized expertise
3. Small businesses cannot or will not typically pay consulting fees for the best expertise available (tend to go low budget, lowest bidder, free SBA advice, etc.)
We have designed an approach, strategy and program that includes the following:
1. A cost effective system to help small businesses quickly achieve results
2. A mix of packaged resources and custom coaching to provide the small business owner with best practices, best resources, and the best outside expertise at the most cost-effective price possible
3. A process that was strong on teaching the small business owner/leaders to fish for themselves (not be overly dependent outside consultants or coaches).
